Andreia Guilmet was born in a small town in the interior of Brazil, where she grew up in a humble family. From a young age, Andreia dreamed of changing her life and achieving success. She always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and while other children played, she helped her mother support her siblings, contributing however she could to the family’s well-being.

Determined to change her destiny, Andreia studied aesthetics and specialized in waxing techniques. Her natural talent, combined with a passion for people’s well-being, quickly made her well-known in her town. But Andreia dreamed big—and her dreams took her far beyond Brazil’s borders.

At 25, with only $500 in her pocket and a suitcase full of hope, Andreia decided to embark on a bold adventure: she moved to the United States. She knew the road would not be easy, but she was willing to face any challenge.

Upon arriving in the United States, Andreia found herself in a foreign country, with a language she barely spoke and few resources. The first few months were tough, but even in the hardest times, she never lost faith in herself.

Her big break came when, after saving enough, she rented a small room in Atlanta. With just a few basic pieces of equipment, she began offering waxing services. Andreia focused on providing impeccable service, always prioritizing her clients’ needs and comfort. She was charismatic, dedicated, and extremely skilled, which made word-of-mouth spread quickly. Soon, her schedule was full, and she needed to hire help.

The next step was daring: opening her own salon. The first salon, “Brazilian Wax by Andreia,” was inaugurated in Atlanta, in a small space she decorated herself. With her distinctive Brazilian technique, she created a waxing experience that captivated not only Brazilians living in the U.S. but also Americans seeking something new and effective.

The quality of the service, combined with Andreia’s warm hospitality, quickly began to attract attention. Her client base grew exponentially, and within a few years, she opened additional locations in different states. Each new salon reflected her dedication and commitment to quality. Andreia made a point of personally training her waxers, ensuring that clients at any location had the same exceptional experience.

With an innovative approach, Andreia also invested in exclusive, natural products developed by herself that helped soothe the skin and reduce the discomfort of waxing. These products became best-sellers in her salons, further expanding the reach of her brand.

Gradually, Andreia established herself as “The Queen of Waxing” in the United States. Her network of salons grew to 38 locations spread across five states: Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Each salon was more than just a beauty space—it was a place where both women and men felt empowered and cared for.

Today, Andreia is a respected entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and philanthropist. She frequently shares her journey, inspiring other women to pursue their dreams regardless of obstacles. She always reminds people that it all started with $500 and a lot of determination.

Andreia has never forgotten her roots. She makes it a point to support other women entrepreneurs from her hometown in Brazil, creating training programs and providing financial assistance for those who want to follow in her footsteps. For her, success only makes sense when it is shared.
